Amazon product image types
Main Image
Are the product photos that are displayed on the Amazon search results page. They play an important role in attracting customers' attention and making your product stand out. These images should accurately reflect the product and its features.
Infographics
Combine imagery and information to give customers a comprehensive understanding of the product's features and benefits. They can also serve well to present a size chart or other relevant details about the product.
Lifestyle Images
Are images that depict the product in a realistic setting so that customers can imagine themselves using it in their own home. These images can be particularly convincing and captivating.
Main Image Requirements
The images should have a white background and occupy up to 85% of the image area.
The image should have an aspect ratio of 5:1 and be in the shape of a 1:1 square image, with dimensions of more than 1,000 pixels on each side, but less than 10,000 pixels on the longest side. Amazon recommends an image size of 2000 x 2000 pixels.
The size of the images must not exceed 10MB. Supported file formats are JPG, TIF and GIF, whereby the JPG format is recommended by Amazon. The primary image should clearly show the product without any designs, watermarks, graphics or text overlaying the image.

All images must accurately represent the product being sold and be directly linked to the product type. The advertised product should take up at least 85% of the image area, i.e. the empty space around the product should not take up more than 15% of the image. It is important to use a professionally taken photo that is well lit and sharply focused. The image must not be pixelated and must be free of sharp edges.

When you create an Amazon listing, you can add up to nine images. The first seven images are displayed on the Amazon carousel (6 if video is available), the remaining images can be viewed by customers in the gallery.
Image Basics
Make sure that the images are sharp, up-to-date and accurately represent the product. The title should also refer directly to the product.
Only use high-resolution images without pixelation or rough edges.
Images showing nudity, racist content or other offensive material are strictly prohibited.
Images may not contain logos, trademarks or other elements that could mislead the public. This includes words or logos containing “Amazon”, “Prime”, “Alexa” or “Best Seller”.
